- Popcorn – Salted popcorn is the better than sweetened. If you want you can also melt dark chocolate and drizzle it over the popcorn. However you need to make sure that the dark chocolate is at least 70% cocoa.
- Fruit & Nut Chocolate Bar – One of my friends tried this out and it was absolutely great. Grab a baking tray fill it with a bag of mixed nuts and fruits with a layer of baking paper on the bottom. This will stop the bar from sticking to the bottom of the tray. You can put in as many mixed fruits and nuts as you want, it’s personal preference. Then melt dark chocolate. Again make sure the dark chocolate is at least 70% cocoa. You can pour in however much chocolate you want. The more you pour the thicker your chocolate bar will be. You can then place it in the freezer and wait until the chocolate has harden. You can then take the tray out of the freezer and slice the chocolate bars into whatever shape you want. Place them back in the freezer in a tub or in the baking tray and wait until they are frozen. Then they will be ready to eat!
- Carrot and Cucumber Sticks – Cut some cucumber and carrots into strips and grab a bowl of hummus. I use this recipe: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1940690/healthy-homemade-houmous- You can dip the vegetable sticks into the hummus for a delicious snack.
Another tip if you are trying to have a healthier diet is to lightly eat throughout the day instead of having 3 main meals. Additionally breakfast is a must and should be the largest meal of the day. The body requires more energy and has longer to burn the calories consumed in the morning. xx
